Pythagoras Worshiped Creation Via Math
The men, such as Pythagoras and his math monks, that came up with all of the mystical and spiritual qualities, which they gave to numbers and geometric objects, are the ones who (inadvertently) helped inspire the Trinity concept, not God Almighty. I read that Pythagoras learned a lot of Egyptian and Babylonian wisdom, both mathematical and mystical (religious). This is not surprising in the least, because those civilizations were idolized by other civiliza-tions. Is it any wonder that the so-called "father's of the faith" (like Justin Martyr, and Origen) were greatly influenced by the idolatrous philosophies of these idolatrous nations? It can be pretty heady stuff for the know-it-all in all of us. Idolatrous philosophers and men like Justin and Origen are the ones whom Paul spoke of to Timothy, those that are: "ever learning, but never coming to the knowledge of the truth."
The reality is that God spoke this world and all of its material objects, which he declared to be "good", into existence - - by using actual grammatical words, not written, or recited equations. To prove that this kind of nonsense has crept into Christianity, the following images I found are perfect examples of some Pythagorean mystical gobbledygook. Behold, the mystical nature of geometry. [yawn]
The Divinity of Geometry?
As you can see, the first and second images are considered to be divine by mystics. Just like the Pythagorean mystics used the triangle to denote that: all is three; the Trinity triangle is used by well meaning pastors to educate you about their mystical and extra biblical triune Godhead. Freemasonry has a particular use for the right triangle, what that use is, I can't go into right now, but it isn't holy, that I can assure you. | I used the far right image at the beginning of this ten part treatise; it's an equilateral triangle. It shows the real god of this world that this teaching embodies - Satan, or Lucifer, as his deluded followers call him. He's got his "all seeing eye" trained on you, which is why this image is very spooky! The equilateral triangle has three 60 degree angels, and it is a form of the Satanic number of 666. Not remotely holy, either, I must say. |
Quotes From The Ever Learning...
Um, no Pythagoras. Almighty God is the autonomous ruler of his creation, which includes all lesser elohim, like the angels, whether they are holy messengers, or fallen (demons). He spoke all of creation into existence. He's not a number endowed with mystical properties, he's the premier super-natural omnific being. And since he made all things, that means he gets to rule over them, that is only reasonable and fair, right? I think so.
Um, no Galileo. The Almighty LORD God spoke words like, 'Let there be light' and then the electromagnetic spectrum i.e. light appeared. I don't see any literal mathematical equations spoken, do you?
"The knowledge at which geometry aims is knowledge of the eternal, and not of aught perishing and transient. . .
"Geometry will draw the soul toward truth, and create the spirit of philosophy."
-Plato, The Commonwealth, Book VII [emphasis mine]
Yeah, I don't think so. A Perennialist teacher believes that all religions share a single and universal truth. The Bible doesn't entirely share this sentiment. According to the Bible, the only religion that has the absolute truth is biblical Christianity, while all other false religions do share a single universal creed based on Satan's lie in the garden of Eden, that mankind can become gods via disobedience and obtaining forbidden knowledge. I say "biblical" Christian, because the average person who thinks they are a Christian, really isn't. Say, this reminds me of the story: The Emperor's New Clothes. You know, people who try and hoodwink you into believing what they say is real by making you feel stupid if you don't believe them? Or like the people at church who ask you if you feel God's presence? Like you're going to say 'no' even though you don't feel a thing!
Greek thinkers like Plato were into dizzing modes of reasoning, and one way to think for them was to transcend ordinary understanding by thinking deeply on obscure intangibles.
Some adults would call that brand of thought childish foolishness, or even irrational. In essence, certain Greek thinkers were really trying to obtain a measure of godhood (or the dimension of Forms?) through a higher secret knowledge, and a mystical encounter with The One. WAIT! That sounds so familiar! [See Gen. 3 for what happens to these kinds of people]. The apostle Paul rightly declared that the Jews require signs, and the Greeks seek wisdom - -their wisdom, which is philosophy. Again, God is never impressed with vain human wisdom, or reasoning. Paul declared that the Jesus crucified is foolishness to Greek wisdom.
This isn't a practice that the Bible endorses. Their faulty equation only makes sense to their twisted abstract minds, which are not rooted in physical reality. Remember, these people believed that reality, substance, and matter are all evil, while all things spiritual are good. We biblical Christians should know that what God created was good, and not all spiritual things come from God, and are therefore, not all good. As I have read in my studies, these mystics sought to escape reality and achieve spiritual oneness with The One. " What's that, " you say? Here, read this...
"The 'concept' of the One is not, properly speaking, a concept at all, since it is never explicitly defined by Plotinus, yet it is nevertheless the foundation and grandest expression of his philosophy. Plotinus does make it clear that no words can do justice to the power of the One; even the name, 'the One,' is inadequate, for naming already implies discursive knowledge, and since discursive knowledge divides or separates its objects in order to make them intelligible, the One cannot be known through the process of discursive reasoning"(Ennead VI.9.4). - Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy- Plotinus by Edward Moore
According to Plotinus, it seems that his grandest expression -The One, can't be known through the use of analytical [discursive] reasoning, but through contemplation, or intuition via meditation. This is mystical mindlessness at it's best, all dressed up in Grecian gobbledygook. Behold, it's the language of the Trinity. It's yet another way to say you can't know God intellectually, but only through mystical "experience," or sense "knowledge." (Cue the Star Wars music.)
For surly the Trinitarian preachers say you can't understand the Trinity, or you'll go mad if you try, but you better believe in it, if you want to go to heaven. This is an unbiblical Satanic inspired lie! We are to walk by faith, or have belief in what God says, by using our renewed minds that are filled with his word of truth. We can certainly intelligently comprehend many aspects of our God via his word. Do we need someone other than the Lord himself to tell us who he is? No. We are told not to put our trust in men, they lie. And we were told not to walk by our sense of sight, or any of our physical senses. Why? Because our senses can be fooled, especially in the obscure arena of mysticism. Even so, that doesn't mean we can throw earthly reality completely out the window. God appeared to Adam, Eve, Abraham, Moses, Menohah, and many of the prophets; they saw his "angel," or a human likeness that God wanted them to see. However, even though Eve saw God face to face, she was still deceived by Satan's reasoning power. Words were added to God's command, which was to not eat the fruit from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Simple instructions God gave Adam. But someone (maybe Adam) felt the need to add, "don't even touch it" to God's straight forward command.
This made room for Satan to exploit Eve's acceptance of a false teaching, and in turn, her lack of reasoning capabilities, which got her to use her senses in her rebellion. She may have been easy to deceive, but Adam was not, because he had God's direct command; there was no misunderstanding on his part. Adam knew God face to face, too. It makes me a bit crazy when people try to tell you that you can only know God either with head knowledge, or through mystical and pseudo-spiritual experiences. What is the Bible for then, if not to reveal to us, clearly, who God is from God himself?
He is the one and only Holy Spirit, who became a man, for the purpose of dying on the cross to atone for the sin that ruined his creation. Can we not know him through both written knowledge and truly holy spiritual experiences? Of course we can, the Bible says so.
Rightly Divide The Word Of Truth
- The LORD (Yahovah) is the only author of Scripture at times using direct dictation and inspiration like the Psalms and Proverbs, to his appointed prophets, priests, kings, and apostles, who were commissioned to write down God word using their own style --God didn't use automatic writing. The LORD didn't use idolatrous people to instruct the righteous through their writings, either. He only used holy men.
- Only a truly saved person can understand Scripture and be led into all truth by the Spirit of the Lord.
- We must allow Scripture to instruct us, and to teach us the truth, we must not use it to endorse our preconceived notions.
- We must let go of any and all preconceived notions, and humbly accept what is written, so that it will renew our minds to the truth.
- Scripture interprets itself; no other book has any authority upon it. Other books may be mentioned in it that corroborate certain passages, but those books are not given credit for Divine authorship.

Isaiah 45:15 Truly You are God, who hide Yourself, O God of Israel, the Savior! Isaiah 45:21 Tell and bring forth your case; Yes, let them take counsel together. Yehovah's (The LORD's) Spirit is Holy Gen. 6:3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. Lev. 11:45 ‘For I am the LORD who brings you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God. You shall therefore be holy, for I am holy. Psalm 51:11 Do not cast me away from Your presence, And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Isaiah 40:7 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass. Isaiah 48:16 “Come near to Me, hear this: I have not in secret from the beginning; From the time that it was, I was there. And now the Lord GOD and His Spirit have sent (singular verb)Me." Where is He who put His Holy Spirit within them, Ezek. 39:29 ‘And I will not hide My face from them anymore; for I shall have poured out My Spirit on the house of Israel,' says the Lord GOD.” 1 Cor. 12:3 Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit. | Jesus the Son of God is the Holy Spirit John 14:6,16-18 I am the way, truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. And I will pray the Father, and he will give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever - the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him; but you know him, for he dwells with you, and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans, I will come to you. Romans 8:9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not his. 2 Cor. 3:3,6,8,17,18 clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart. Who also has made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter kills, but the spirit gives life. How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious? Now the Lord is the Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. Phil. 1:19 For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, 1 Peter 1:10-11 Concerning this salvation, the prophets, who spoke of the grace that was to come to you, searched intently and with the greatest care, trying to find out the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when he predicted the sufferings of the Messiah and the glories that would follow. |
Final Toughts
The LORD God (a.k.a. the Lord GOD) has a name, I believe that it is Yahovah (or Jehovah depending on how you use the vowels and consonants), and he is indeed only one (Deut. 6:4), not three in one! And the Lord Jesus Christ is the fullness of the Godhead (Deity) bodily (Col. 2:9). He is God in the flesh, not a second and separate person, but the one and only Almighty God incarnate. The Lord Jesus Christ, whose status as the Son of God allows him to be both God and man at the same time. He fulfills the roles of the Father, the Son of God, and the Holy Spirit (Heb. 1-2:1) at the same time. All three royal titles come together in Jesus (in Hebrew,Yahoshua) a name that means God saves. And his name is above every name. When he openly returns in the clouds for the second time, his name might be officially changed to Immanuel; God with us. Because we will truly see him for who he is, the LORD God Almighty, and he will be with us forever! Amen!
Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away. Hebrews 2:1
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17
